Hundreds of devices on the network at once, classrooms that need to just work the moment a teacher walks in, and a calendar that gives you ten weeks of term and two weeks to do the heavy lifting.
Watermans has been delivering IT, AV and electrical services for schools across Northland for over 25 years — designing the cabling and Wi-Fi that carries every BYOD device, installing the AV that classrooms rely on, and looking after the IT systems that staff use every day. Because we hold the electrical, data, security and IT trades in-house, we can deliver a full classroom or block fit-out without a school having to coordinate three or four contractors.
We understand school timing. Most installation work happens in school holidays, our techs are police-vetted, and we plan jobs around the academic year so disruption to learning is kept to a minimum.
Planning a classroom upgrade, new block, or network refresh? Talk to our schools team about IT, AV, security and electrical — all from one provider.
Do you work in schools during term time?
Yes. Most cabling, AV and electrical installation happens in school holidays to avoid disruption, but our IT support, helpdesk and emergency call-outs run all year round.
Are your technicians police-vetted?
Yes. Our staff who work onsite at schools are police-vetted and follow each school’s visitor and child-safety procedures.
Can you handle a full classroom or block fit-out?
Yes. Because we have electrical, data, IT and AV teams in-house, we can deliver a complete fit-out — power, lighting, cabling, Wi-Fi, AV and phones — under one provider, with one project manager.
Do you support both primary and secondary schools?
Yes. We work across primary, intermediate and secondary schools, as well as kura and early childhood centres throughout Northland.
